Zoe International’s training model is designed to meet pastors where they are — spiritually, educationally, and geographically — and walk with them toward deep theological clarity and active, reproducible ministry.

Many of our students serve in remote villages or small towns. Some are bivocational, others are full-time in ministry, and nearly all have had no access to formal theological education. We exist to change that.

Program Pathways

  • Diploma in Theology

    Our most accessible and widely-used training program, offered at 44 training centers across South India, North India, Nepal, and Bangladesh.

    Duration: 3 years

    Curriculum: 16 structured courses

    Format: Monthly in-person intensives, weekly peer groups, homework, and exams

    Designed for: Rural pastors, lay leaders, and church planters without prior theological training

    Goal: Equip graduates to train 5 others and plant 4–5 churches


  • Bachelor of Theology (in partnership with Third Millennium Ministries)

    A more academically rigorous pathway offered through 20 training centers in South India. Curriculum is delivered using Third Millennium’s globally recognized theological materials, translated and contextualized for the Indian church.

    Duration: Typically 3–4 years

    Curriculum: Video lectures, readings, exams, and instructor-led discussion

    Designed for: Students with stronger academic backgrounds or who minister in urban and town-based contexts

    Certification: Offered in partnership with institutions that recognize III Mill content

What Students Learn

Across both pathways, students are taught core biblical and theological foundations:

Each course runs for two months and includes structured lessons, assignments, and contextual application.

Our Format

Monthly In-Person Intensives

  • One full-day of teaching per month at each center

  • Led by regional instructors trained in biblical theology and local context

Weekly Peer Discipleship Groups

  • Students gather to pray, complete assignments, and encourage one another

Mentorship and Accountability

  • Trainers provide pastoral care, support, and feedback

  • Most are seminary graduates or experienced local pastors

Contextualized for where They Serve

We tailor our training to three primary social settings:

Cities

  • Westernized, middle-class, often English-speaking

  • B.Th. focus on theological depth and cultural engagement

Towns

  • Educated lower middle class

  • Strong emphasis on discipleship and practical ministry skills

Villages

  • Poor, caste-divided, often semi- or non-literate

  • Relational, oral-learning model focused on accessibility and transformation

Training that Multiplies

Every student who completes a program is challenged to:

  1. Train 5 new disciples

  2. Plant 4–5 churches in unreached areas

  3. Remain accountable to their trainer and community
